Need For Deafening Silence

poems about silence

She woke up to the sound of her alarm,

Sound of pan striking & children whining,

Sounds of the vendors who want to survive,

Sounds of the little birds who see the sunrise

She leaves for work and takes along

the sound of dangling keys, angry drivers,

mechanical whirring of computers

She comes back with the sound of whistlings,

To the sounds of chirping crickets, & loud music

But sound of her sadness is so much stronger,

So is the sound of loneliness,

The only sound she wants to hear is,

The Sound of Deafening Silence!
